Upcoming Album Information
Smino is here for the fourth quarter of 2018 to deliver a follow up for his sensational debut album. Hailing from St. Louis, Smino is the perfect mix of southern soul and midwest resiliency. After biding his time and carefully waiting to usher in his own season, Smino is prepared for launch
Smino's sophomore album, NØIR, will touch down on Thursday (November 8). It's been a year and a half since the St. Louis artist released his debut blkswn. The airwaves were silent until Smino decided to drop the Sango produced single "L.M.F" at the end of October. Days later, he announced NØIR with a clip from the studio. Smino also released a second single, "Klink," further fostering anticipation for NØIR.
Smino took to Instagram to reveal the tracklist for NØIR, which includes appearances from Bari, Valee, Jay2, & Ravyn Lenae. NØIR contains the same amount of tracks as blkswn, 18, hinting at a possible pattern appearing in Smino's studio albums. "S/o errbody who played a role . glasses if you ready 🍷 11.8," wrote the multitalented artist as the caption to his tracklist post. The album features production from Monte Booker, Sango, KRS, Al B Smoov, and more.
On July 17, 2018, "Natural" was released as the lead single. To promote the single, it was chosen by ESPN as the anthem of the 2018 College Football season. The song has since peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.[2][3] Its music video starring the band was released on August 24, 2018.[4]
On September 19, 2018, "Zero" was released as the second single. The song is featured in the upcoming Disney animated film Ralph Breaks the Internet and was included in its second official trailer.[5] The music video, which takes place in an arcade and includes several references to the film, was released on October 23, 2018.
On October 31, 2018, Imagine Dragons released the third single off the album, "Machine".[6]
On November 6, 2018, the fourth single off the album, "Bad Liar", was released.[7]
